Vintage Willow Basket - Circa 1945

Woven from solid Willow sometime around 1945, this vintage basket carries the kind of patina that only decades of real use can produce. The body is tightly handwoven, rounded and slightly irregular, with tone shifting naturally across the weave from pale honey to deeper, weathered brown. Up at the rim, a fitted band of bark or hide panels adds structure, and the wear along that edge feels completely earned. It reads beautifully in wabi sabi, farmhouse, or rustic settings without trying too hard. Set it on a shelf, console, or tabletop to hold small objects, or simply let it sit on its own.
